Weird Foods from around the World

Durian Jaca

Weird Foods from around the World

Nearly every culture invents a food that is weird or disgusting to outsiders. These strange foods from around the world are cultural markers to show who's a member (insiders like it) and who's not a member (outsiders hate it.)

It's an interesting link but I'm very disappointed with a list of fruits. There aren't many Brazilian fruits like jaca, catuaba, fruta-do-conde, graviola, cupuaçu, seriguela, umbu-cajú, pequi, or, my favourite (most bizarre name for me), fruta-pão (= breadfruit). Well, at least I found the legendary Durian on the list and no thanks, I don't want to prove it after read the description. Take a look on the other lists and maybe submit some strange fruit that you know there.
