Just in case you didn't see this Wikipedia article: Movies that have been considered the greatest ever. The list is too American for my taste, but the choices in general are good. Take a look on In particular countries, specially the French movies (two wonderful movies). BTW, the American Film Institute for the best American film eve is very good for me.
