Ray Harryhausen

Do you know Ray Harryhausen, the special effects creator? Maybe you don't remember of his name, but of his work at Jason and the Argonauts, Clash of the Titans and The Golden Voyage of Sinbad. His techniques, specially the dynamation, and creatures helped a lot the development of special effects in cinema.

He deserved a homage, like this one: Ray Harryhausen Creature List. That excellent tribute page lists all his creatures, and the film where they appeared with film extracts of them. It also points to a Harryhausen early work with animation, Mother Goose: Little Miss Muffet, at Archive. That video is a small part of Mother Goose Stories, also available at archive and at Google Video. (via Quiddity)
