...the Norman Rockwell of cheese-cake. His heroines are often caught in humorous but distressing situations. His exquisite oils of gorgeous girls-next door their skirts often blowing up to reveal lovely nylon-clad limbs rival his mentor Haddon Sundblom's "Coca-Cola" Santas for sheer nostalgic pleasure.
He made some remarkable pin-up images, like "Weighty Problem", "Bear Facts" and "The Right Touch", and Coca-Cola ads like "Just Like Old Times". More of his works can be found at Gil Elvgren, The Painted Anvil, Pin-Up Pages, The Pin-up Files, Mop Pin-up, including an unpublished illustration, Vanguard Gallery, Mutoworld and Spotlight on Golden Age Advertising. BTW, just few of his illustration works can be NSFW. (via dadanoias)
