La Chute d'Icare

One of the good things about read other blogs is find one more reason to post that kind of stuff that you know, that you think that everybody knows and you just didn't post because it's very easy find it on Internet. So I couldn't resist to post Pieter Bruegel after saw the link on Quando, Onde e Como. This French site is dedicated to the fantastic painter Pieter Bruegel, the Elder. Maybe you don't remember his name but you know his famous painting The Babel Tower or the small Babel tower.

The site has images of his works, biography, information about the paintings and other images, list of museums with his works and wallpapers. Here is the link to the complete list of his works and don't forget to see the The proverbs page.

Take a look also on the two entries of Giornale Nuovo: Bruegel's Proverbs and Bruegel: Seven Vices and a Virtue.
